A knockdown rebuild designed for Point Lonsdale living
A custom knockdown rebuild tailored to its coastal setting
This knockdown rebuild in Point Lonsdale demonstrates how starting again can unlock the full potential of a site. Replacing an existing home with a thoughtfully designed coastal residence, the Golightly Street project balances timeless architecture with modern functionality. Every detail has been carefully considered, resulting in a custom home that reflects the lifestyle, character and relaxed coastal setting of Point Lonsdale.
This knockdown-rebuild was designed by Micheal Higgens Building Design and delivered by Tremul Constructions two months ahead of schedule and on budget!
Designed as an intergenerational holiday home, this contemporary coastal residence brings together a refined palette of render, standing seam cladding and spotted gum shiplap battens with a natural oil finish over fibre cement sheet cladding — creating warmth, texture and durability for coastal living.

A fantastic outcome made possible by the Tremul team and our trusted trades, with strong collaboration from our clients throughout the entire journey. Frequent site meetings, plenty of shared laughs and a great working relationship made this project as enjoyable as it was rewarding.
